In our effort to reach the next generation with the good news of Jesus Christ, Cherrydale Baptist Church places a strong emphasis on gospel growth through an intentional, relational, and organic approach to ministry and discipleship. We encourage our young adults to join the Cherrydale family and commit to our church’s four marks of discipleship (Personal Devotion, Corporate Worship, Biblical Community, and Active Witness). While we emphasize intergenerational discipleship at Cherrydale, we also recognize the benefit of forging friendships with other people at a similar phase of life. This is particularly challenging for young adults, a transient population in our city with the desire, freedom, and flexibility to make deep investments in community. To assist in this endeavor, we have several bridges that help young adults connect easily with already existing community in our church:
SOCIAL EVENTSPeriodic, Various Times and Locations
We live in a city with an endless array of activities that are far more fun to do with friends! On a regular basis, a group of Cherrydale young adults plans a social event that serves as another opportunity to form friendships and foster community. Check back for information about upcoming events.
Quarterly, 12:30 pm in the Well (Room 110)
Every so often, we share a meal together in the Well after the 11:00 Sunday service. This is a great way for us to gather together as a larger group of young adults and this is the easiest way for a newcomer to meet others. .
Our College-Age Ministry gathers on Sunday evenings throughout the summer to connect, spend time together, and study the Bible. Want to know when we’re getting together? Sign up for our mailing list (email & text messages).
