Cherrydale Baptist Church [+] Spreading a passion to love God and people above all else

The youth are loved at Cherrydale! We see it as a privilege to be a part of their lives and a huge blessing to partner with and support families with youth. As a ministry, we strive to create an engaging, creative environment where students can grow as disciples of Christ who love Him above all else, while at the same time challenging them to reach out to their friends in the surrounding communities with the Gospel.

 

We meet every Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. for a time of Bible Study. The Junior High (Room 112-114) is studying a series entitled Covenant, which walks through the Old and New Testament to see the way God relates to His people through the Gospel. The boys are lead by Dave DeForest and girls by Ashleigh Lamkin and Nicole Oostdyk. The Senior High (Room 110) is taught jointly by Richard Roberts, Brooke Roberts and Tim McGhee. 

 

During the school year, we meet on Wednesday nights at 7 pm. This year we will start the second week of school (Sept. 15). During the summer and during holiday breaks we can change things up a bit so during these times double check with the youth ministry offices or the weekly e-mail update.

 

On Wednesday nights we use elements like icebreakers, music, drama, worship, video, creative teaching times, testimonies, breakout groups, and much more to help teens connect with God and put God’s desires and plan in motion in their everyday lifestyle and schedule.
