About Us
Our Vision
Grow Together in Christ
They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.—Acts 2:42
- Applying all aspects of the gospel to all aspects of our lives.
- Continuing to discover and believe the truths of the gospel and putting into practice their corresponding behaviors, is how we grow in Christ-like character. (Romans 8:1; 2 Corinthians 8:9; Ephesians 5:25).
- Scripture calls us to depend on the Holy Spirit as we apply gospel truths and behaviors to seven key areas of our lives. (Ephesians 5:15-6:20; Colossians 3:12-4:6)
- God: We are to love God and live for His glory. (Matthew 22:37-40; 1 Corinthians 10:31)
- Self: We are to live out our new identity in Christ and be good stewards. (Romans 12:1-3; 1 Corinthians 6:19)
- Family: God established marriage between a man and a woman. We seek to strengthen marriages and families and partner with parents, in their God given role as primary disciplers of their children. (Genesis 2:18-25; Ephesians 5:22-6:9; Colossians 3:18-22; 1 Timothy 3:4; 12; 5:8)
- Church: The biblical pictures of the church as a body, a bride, a vine, a building, a priesthood, and a family remind us that Christ is our life and expects us to be in close relationship with other believers. He has given us a mission and empowers us to fulfill it together. (Ephesians 2:19, 5:22-6:9; Colossians 3:18-22; 1 Peter 2:9; Matthew 28:19-20)
- Work: All callings are sacred and are to be fulfilled with excellence for the glory of God and the benefit of others. (Genesis 1:26-30; Exodus 35:30-33; Colossians 3:20-21)
- Government: We are to pray for our leaders, obey the laws of government, be a godly influence, make wise appeals and disobey only when the demands of government clearly violate Scripture. (Romans 13:1-7; 1 Timothy 2:1-3; Acts 4)
- World: We minister by serving all people, sharing Christ and cultivating godly environments in every sphere of life. (Genesis 1:26-28; 1 Peter 2:9; Ephesians 5:11, 6:10-20; 1 John 3:16)
- Encouraging one another in core biblical beliefs, practices and virtues.
- A hallmark of a Christ-honoring Church is a commitment to teach and apply sound doctrine which is rooted in the gospel of Christ. (1 Timothy 3:15; 6:3; Ephesians 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:10-17)
- The Bible tells us to practice the spiritual disciplines of worship, prayer, Bible study, fellowship, evangelism, service and stewardship. (Ephesians 5:18-21; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; 2 Peter 1:2-11; 1 Peter 3:15; James 1:27; 1 Corinthians 16:1-3; 2 Corinthians 8-9)
- Without grace and encouragement in God’s truth from each other, we will develop hardened hearts. (Hebrews 3:12-14; Matthew 18:15-21; Galatians 6:1-5)
- We seek to provide environments where believers build intergenerational relationships and connect with those who live near them. This helps promote unity and foster outreach to the neighborhood.
- Developing disciples by shepherding and equipping.
- Leadership in the church is to be carried out by people of character and sound doctrine. (1 Timothy 3:1-15; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Corinthians 4:1-6))
- Church leaders are called to equip the church family in sound doctrine so that generations of mature disciples continually multiply. (Ephesians 4:12; 2 Timothy 2:2; Colossians 1:28-30)
- Shepherding the flock of God so that they are continually growing in Christ is our biblical mandate. (1 Peter 5:1-6; Acts 20:28-35; Hebrews 13:7, 17)
