About Us
Our Vision
Know God Intimately
This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.—John 17:3
- Acknowledging that we are broken and in need of God’s grace.
- Knowing God begins with humbly acknowledging our brokenness and need of His grace in Christ. (2 Chronicles 16:9; Psalm 51; Galatians 2:16)
- God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. (James 4:6-7)
- Through faith in Christ’s death and resurrection we receive forgiveness of sins, eternal life and righteousness in the sight of God. (1 Corinthians 15:1-6; Romans 3:21-27; 10:9-10; Philippians 3:9)
- Jesus is our example in that He lived by faith in humble dependence on the Father. (John 5:17-19)
- We will consider ourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. (Romans 6:11)
- Worshiping the Triune God made known through the Gospel.
- The Scriptures teach that the prize of the gospel is God himself, not just his gifts. We believe Christ’s death and resurrection are good news because by them, He removes every obstacle to our intimacy with God and empowers us to glorify God. (1 Peter 3:18; John 17:3; Philippians 1:27; 1 Corinthians 15:3-6; Romans 1:16-17; Galatians 2:16)
- All of life is to be an act of worship. The essence of worship is a continual heart-felt delight in God through Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit, expressed in many ways. Our worship services are believer focused and seeker sensitive. (Ephesians 5:18-21; Colossians 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Romans 12:1-3; 1 Corinthians 14; Ephesians 4:12; Hebrews 10:24-25)
- Praying will permeate who we are and all we do.
- Prayer is a primary evidence that we know God and are dependent on Him. (Romans 10:14-16; Luke 18:1)
- God often chooses to work through our prayers to accomplish His purposes. (Hebrews 4:16; Acts 12; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; 1 Timothy 2:1; Matthew 21:13; 26:41)
- Jesus modeled a life of habitual prayer, therefore being Christ-like requires a life of prayer. (John 17; Mark 14:23; Luke 5:16; 6:12; 9:28; 22:44)
