B.L.A.S.T. is a new club kids in grades 1-6 will enjoy and they'll be proud to invite their friends to join them.

 

It begins at 6:30 with the weekly rehearsal for the Straight Street Singers. We think every kid should be a part of this team as we prepare for our November Musical (click here to learn more about "The  Amazing Jerusalem Makeover").

 

Then at 7 pm B.L.A.S.T. officially begins with the Countdown. Kids can "hang out" with their friends, play a little indoor basketball, enjoy the video games and other activities as well as visit the Snack Shop and purchase snacks.

 

At 7:15 pm Liftoff begins. It's a thirty-minute, high-energy rally with singing, competition and kid-friendly Bible study where kids will learn principles of Christian character.

 

At 7:45 pm kids will begin their Mission Electives. Just like Space Shuttle flight has a mission to accomplish, kids will have various special-interest missions they'll love. Kids in grades 1-3 will rotate through various missions during the month, while 4-6 graders will sign up for a mission they'll participate in for the entire month. Missions include such things as Chef School, Make-a-Music Video, Crafts, Hunter Safety, and lots of other things, with new ones each month. You'll need to pre-register early to make sure you get the mission Elective you want.

 

The entire evening ends promptly at 8:30 pm. It's a great thing to which you can invite your friends and kids from school.
