To love God and people above all else

Biblical Community

God’s Word is both the foundation and the guide for genuine fellowship as believers love and serve one another in Christian community (1 Cor. 12:12-26; Eph. 4:11-25; Heb. 3:12-14; 10:19-25). We endeavor to grow together toward maturity in Christ by pursuing genuine and edifying relationships in more intimate, Word-centered gatherings. The Bible should be embedded in the natural flow of our conversation anytime we gather with other believers. It is the tool that God uses through the power of the Holy Spirit to conform us into the image of His Son.

This intentional relational investment begins with the corporate gathering each Sunday, but extends from there. The church family gathers every two months for Member Gatherings, hosts Sunday Classes and Electives each Sunday, and meets weekly in Small Groups in neighborhoods through the area. We also encourage members to pursue discipleship relationships with other believers in one to one settings for the purpose of mutual growth and encouragement. Our Men’s Ministry and Women’s Ministry help to facilitate this by offering regular times for men and women to gather separately for the purpose of strengthening the Body and providing opportunities for relationships to develop.

Beyond a tangible commitment to God’s Truth, there are two other factors that should characterize our lives together:

Care for the Body: biblical community is the context through which the church cares for, prays for, serves and loves one another.

Commitment to making disciples: biblical community is the context where we encourage one another as we seek to develop friendships with non-Christian family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and new acquaintances and share the glorious hope of the gospel.
