To love God and people above all else
Baptism and Membership
Following our Lord's command (Matthew 28:19-20), we baptize those who have trusted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Baptism provides believers with the opportunity to identify with the death and resurrection of Christ on our behalf (Romans 6:3-4). Every month (the 4th Sunday of each month) we hold baptisms during our morning services. Prior to baptism, candidates need to meet with a pastor (accompanied by their parents in the case of children). Here, the biblical basis for the significance and mode of baptism are explored. This will also be a time to discuss your personal testimony, procedures for the baptismal service and an opportunity for questions, answers and discussion. Please contact the church office or call 703/525-8210 to schedule an appointment with one of our pastors.
As part of the baptismal service, candidates share their personal testimony of how God brought them to saving faith in Jesus Christ.
